ハン・ガン氏のノーベル文学賞受賞、心よりお喜び申し上げます。
傷ついた人間に対する繊細な共感とそれを表現する詩的な文体、重層的な物語、歴史のトラウマに対峙する倫理性と、ハン・ガン氏の作品は、隣国日本でも、これまでに多くの読者の心を捉えてきました。
既にして重大な文学的達成を遂げられ、今回の素晴らしい評価に至ったことを敬愛の念を込めて祝福しつつ、今後の創作活動に更なる期待を寄せております。
ハン・ガン氏のご受賞には、私たちも、文学の同志として、大変勇気づけられました。

한강 씨의 노벨 문학상 수상을 진심으로 축하드립니다.
상처입은 인간에 대한 섬세한 공감과 이를 표현하는 시적인 문체, 중층적 서사와 역사의 트라우마와 맞서는 윤리성 등을 지닌 한강 씨의 작품은 지금까지 이웃 일본에서도 많은 독자의 마음을 사로잡아 왔습니다.
이미 커다란 문학적 달성을 이루셨고, 이번에 훌륭한 평가가 주어진 것에 경애의 마음을 담아 축복하며, 앞으로의 창작 활동을 더욱 기대합니다.
한강 씨의 수상에 우리도 문학의 동지로서 많은 용기를 얻었습니다.

Her works have captured the hearts of many readers, here in neighboring Japan, with her delicate empathy for human suffering and poetic style to express it, multi-layered stories and her ethical treatments of historical traumas.
The Japan P.E.N. Club sincerely congratulates her on the great literary achievement of her body of work and this wonderful international recognition. Our members look forward to her future creative works.
